Have Hail Damage and Don't Know What To Do?

It's that time of year...storm season. Make sure you understand the necessary steps to take after a hail storm.
Step 1 - Call your agent first, NOT the insurance company
Calling the insurance company triggers a claim to be processed whether you have hail damage or not. First, call your agent and explain to them the situation and they would be happy to help you with what to do.
Step 2 - Get trustworthy advice
Call someone you know and trust to come get up on your roof to see if you have hail damage. They will be honest with you and tell you if you have it or not. Please know that the insurance company could say that you don't have it even if your roofer says you do, so don't be alarmed if that is the case. This is a better scenario than calling the insurance company right away thinking you have it but they say you don't.
Step 3 - Turn in a claim, if necessary
If your roofer says you have it, give us a call and we can walk you through the claim process. If your roofer says you don't have it, that's great news...we don't have to do anything.
A lot of people think that they have hail damage just because their neighbor has it. That's not necessarily the case. Every roof is different. They are not all the same age, and each one is made with different materials.
